What makes Canete Landscape Design & Construction different from other companies?
Your entire experience with Canete will be like no other contractor you have ever dealt with. Our design team carefully listens to your needs, then helps you form solutions that not only fit your lifestyle, but beautify your property in ways you never imagined.
Do you provide drawings, and what do they cost?
We can easily provide beautiful full color renderings in-house for any project, and yes we do charge for them. In most cases our clients become so comfortable with our design team, they quickly become confident that the designers truly understand the scope of the project. As such, no matter what the project size, usually our very detailed description attached to your contract is all that is required. In most cases if the client requests drawings, the drawings will be paid for in full upon delivery. If the Canete production team installs the design, it’s cost in full is deducted from the balance of the total project.
Who runs the project?
Your designer will be checking on the site daily. Additionally, our Production Manager will also be on the project daily. Each project has a Supervisor that has been with the company for many years. He is on the job all day, every day. Canete prides ourselves on having the most talented and approachable crews in the industry.
Do you use Sub-Contractors?
Yes we do, depending on the project. The majority of our work is done in-house, but such things as custom carpentry or metalwork is best left to the experts. The diversity of our in-house team spans many disciplines such as horticulture, masonry, drainage, equipment operation and arboriculture.
Are you insured?
Yes we are! In fact our liability exceeds the state requirements by almost double.
Have you ever experienced a failure on a project?
Yes we have. It would be foolish for any contractor or service provider to say they are infallible. The measure of a good company is how they learn from mistakes and create long-term solutions for the future.
What are your payment terms?
We typically get 50% down payment to cover the materials of the project as a deposit. We then get 25% Upon commencement of the project, another 15% at the mid-point, then we get the final 10% upon final walk-thru. We also have some very affordable financing available through GE Financial.
How do you handle Change Orders?
If at any point during construction you decide to make a change to the original scope of work, it will be documented and signed by you for approval, at which point we may also require an additional deposit for the changes?
We received three bids for our project, yours was a little higher than the other two, how come?
Canete prides ourselves on our workmanship and commitment to quality. In order to maintain the level of quality, we need to be sure we are charging enough for our work while also staying competitive in our market. Much of our work is referral work or repeat clients, this fact alone clearly indicates that even though we maybe tad more expensive, we are definitely a value for your investment.
